Course contents
Art Creator takes young creatives on a creative journey into the world of digital art. They articulate the kids through assignments related to digital drawing, coloring, and design features with activities dealing with how to handle a general digital pencil, paint bucket, pattern, and even frame customization in a very interactive way. They also develop keyboarding skills, play with fonts, and learn to save and open their artwork. By the end, students will have a personal portfolio of artwork, framed in a custom frame they design, celebrated with an "Awesome Artist" award for hard work. This course nurtures creativity, builds technical skills, and introduces kids to endless possibilities in digital art.
Digital Art Explorer
Kids explore a drawing program, making connections between traditional and digital art tools. They learn to freehand with the digital pencil, use the paint bucket to fill in shapes, and create a coloring book page. The real fun is trading these with friends to color.
Keys to Creativity
Kids become familiar with the keys on the keyboard, such as the SHIFT, BACKSPACE, and spacebar. Kids learn font, size, and style changes to format text. Even create artwork with their own name by mixing typing skills with digital design.
Brush & Color
Now, play with digital brushes! Kids get familiar with various kinds of brushes-from calligraphy pens to crayons-learning what each does. They make a colorful "rainbow" effect and draw happy scenes, then use the zoom to add delicate details.
Design & Trade
Shapes come alive as students outline and shade colorful shapes and move them onto their canvas. Kids will explore size and position to create unique patterns and design a "stamp" by arranging shapes, encouraging creativity and design skills.
Frame Your Art
Kids will learn about picture frames and design their very own decorative frame by coloring in and adding pattern to let the artist inside of them shine. They will learn how to save their framed art and prepare it for their final masterpiece!
Final Masterpiece & Celebration
Using their captured frame, they create a one-of-a-kind work of digital art, showing off all they have learned. The course finishes off with giving the learner an Awesome Artist award to recognize hard work and celebrate creativity.
