Our purpose and goal at SmartPeek Academy is to find creative ways to expose young students to STEAM education and careers, to ignite a passion for STEAM at a very young age, lay the foundation for a very bright future, and then let them decide which path to follow; and that’s why we offer them the opportunity to participate in various STEAMÂ competitions. FIRST Championships
FIRST® (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) inspires young people to be science and technology leaders and innovators by engaging them in exciting mentor-based programs that build science, engineering, and technology skills, that inspire innovation, and foster well-rounded life capabilities including self-confidence, communication, and leadership.

FIRST LEGO League Discover (Jr. FLL Discovery Edition)
This playful introductory STEM program ignites young students’ natural curiosity and builds their habits of learning with hands-on activities in the classroom and at home using LEGO® DUPLO® bricks. (Previously known as Jr. FLL Discovery Edition)

FIRST LEGO League Explore (Jr. FLL)
In Explore (previously known as Jr. FLL), teams of students ages 6-10 focus on the fundamentals of engineering as they explore real-world problems, learn to design, and code and create unique solutions made with LEGO bricks and powered by LEGO® Education WeDo 2.0.

FIRST LEGO League Challenge (FLL)
FIRST® LEGO® League guides youth through STEM learning and exploration at an early age. FIRST Teach Challenge (FTC)
FIRSTÂ Tech Challenge students learn to think like engineers. Teams design, build, and code robots to compete in an alliance format against other teams. Robots are built from a reusable platform, powered by Android technology, and can be coded using a variety of levels of Java-based programming.

All Japan Sumo Tournament
The official name is the “All Japan Robot-Sumo Tournament.” Robot-Sumo has been held since 1989, and participants are competing with their own robot sumo wrestlers using technology and their imaginations. There are two categories, the high school tournament and the all-Japan tournament, and the latter is held at the Ryougoku Kokugikan in Tokyo.
Two robots are placed in a sumo ring, and the winner is determined when one of them is pushed out of the ring.

Arab Robotics Challenge
It’s an international regional Arab Robotics event that takes place in a different country every year. where teams from different Arab countries come in and show off their STEM skills, learn, and most importantly having fun! All competing to win the title the ARAB CHAMPION in various competitions. ARC’s mean aim is to empower young Arab leaders and welcome them into a community of STEM Enthusiasts, Experts, and students.

Open Robot Challenge Egypt (ORCE)
Open Robot Challenge Egypt consists of four competitions for youth starting from 8 years and all they up to university level. The tournament is sponsored by the Arab Robotics Association. The tournament offers 4 competitions for the youth to design, build and program a robot for: Robot Sumo – Line following – Ball Collector – Open Challenge.

VEX Robotics Competition
In the VEX Robotics Competition, presented by the Robotics Education & Competition Foundation, teams of students are tasked with designing and building a robot to play against other teams in a game-based engineering challenge. Classroom STEM concepts are put to the test as students learn lifelong skills in teamwork, leadership, communications, and more. Tournaments are held year-round at the regional, state, and national levels and culminate at the VEX Robotics World Championship each April!

The World Robot Olympiad is a global robotics competition for young people. The World Robot Olympiad competition uses Lego Mindstorms manufactured by LEGO Education to create a robot that does a specific set of tasks on the game table.

Robofest
Robofest is a festival of competitions and events with autonomous robots that encourages students to have fun while learning principles of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) and Computer Science. Students design, construct, and program the robots. Any robotics kits are allowed in the construction of robots. Robots can be programmed with any programming language. Robofest programs support Computer Science for All.

RoboGames
RoboGames is the Olympics of Robots – we invite the best minds from around the world to compete in over 50 different events: combat robots, fire-fighters, LEGO bots, hockey bots, walking humanoids, soccer bots, sumo bots, and even androids that do kung-fu. Some robots are autonomous, some are remote controlled – but they’re all cool! As an open event, anyone can compete – this means you.
